The SceneClients entering the spa via wood-paneled elevator or secluded marble staircase are greeted at reception/product-personalization area then escorted to possibly the most luxurious locker room around. Boasting programmable lockers, plush robes and an elegant, snack-stocked lounge, the room is built around a sunken whirlpool and also houses a steam and sauna. The handful of treatment rooms are a tad more clinical, though the gorgeous couples cabin--complete with private shower, whirlpool and two treatment tables--is a true spa original. The ServicesBased on European skin care guru Anne Semonin's philosophy of customization, facials include an in-depth analysis, trigger-point massage and effective dose of Semonin's botanical- and seaweed-based scrubs and oils. Body treatments include massage in six styles, waxing, wraps, scrubs and unique add-ons. Spa and fitness packages are also available. Central PerkNon-hotel spa guests may use the swank gym for an additional $75, or purchase the "Business Express" trainer-and-massage combo or "Walk in the Park" guided run. Semonin Skin CareThe excellent, custom-blended line is available at the spa and at nearby Bergdorf Goodman.
