What to expect: Totally remodeled and reopened in 2000, this small hotel with high style has a streamlined teak lobby with abstract murals and chic minimalist furnishings. Rooms are cleverly planned to maximize space. The Marcel has quickly become a favorite with travelers from the U.S. and abroad, particularly from the worlds of fashion, film, and the arts.

Amenity highlights: Guests can help themselves at the all-day, self-service cappuccino bar in the lobby. Faxing, copying, and cell phone rental are available at the front desk. Besides an on-site fitness room, privileges are offered at a larger health club across the street for a fee. Queen bed requests are confirmed for all reservations. Requests for two double beds will be on a first-come, first-served basis for reservations of two people in a room.
Reservations booked through this Web site with three or four people in a room may request two double beds, also added upon availability. All occupancy upgrades at the hotel will be charged to the guest.
There are no room charges for children 3 and younger occupying the same room as their parents.
Upon check-in, photo identification and credit card or cash deposit are required for incidental charges.
