New York City Cocktail BarsThe Cocktail RoomDrink to the past at this retro-chic establishment.
The SceneTucked off on a side street, this bar may be easy to overlook, but its striking retro decor and bright orange interior make it hard to forget. Be prepared to stand; the handful of tiny tables up front and white couches lining the VIP area fill up quicker than you can yell, "Gimme a Banana Monkey." (That's a frothy drink made with Bacardi light, creme de banana, cream and a dash of grenadine.) The DrawDJs spin jungle, lounge and hip-hop for a crowd so fresh out of college, you can almost smell your old dorm room. For those wishing to complement the multitude of specialty drinks with a light meal, the bar serves an assortment of insubstantial snacks (chocolate covered strawberries, for example) that won't quite fill you up, but are still a treat. Liquid DessertTry the delicious Possible 20, made with Stoli Raspberry, Stoli Vanilla and 7Up. 334 E 73rd St |
